The Angels Camp Veterans Memorial District was founded in 1958.  Each year they are funded by a small portion of the property taxes collected by the county in their district boundaries.  The district uses these funds to provide food certificates during the holidays, scholarships for veterans children and to maintain the veterans hall for community use.
